ThinkMarkets Review

Company Overview ThinkMarkets

The Forex and CFD broker ThinkMarkets (or ThinkForex) was founded in 2010 under the name TF Global Markets. Since 2012, the company has been operating under the trade name ThinkMarkets. The broker is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, which is licensed and regulated by the ASIC under the Australian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSL) license number 424700. Since 2015, the UK subsidiary (TF Global Markets (UK) Limited) is serving customers from the European Union. For this purpose, the broker is licensed and regulated by the British Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under license number 629628. In addition, the company has a subsidiary in Shanghai, China, which offers its services in the Asian area.

ThinkMarkets Security

As a licensed and regulated Forex and CFD broker in the European Union by the UK FCA and the Austrtalian ASIC, the company meets all the requirements an ambitious trader places to a broker. One of the most important requirements that must be fulfilled, is the safe custody of customer deposits on segregated accounts, which are clearly attributable to the customer. This measure ensures that customer money can not be used for company purposes. In order to protect customer deposits, FCA regulated brokers must also be members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). This will ensure a reimbursement of up to GBP 50,000 per customer, if a financial services provider fails to meet its obligations, for example due to insolvency. ThinkMarkets, however, provides protection for the customer's money, which goes well beyond this £ 50,000. By Lloyds Insurance, the Company provides each customer with additional protection of up to 1 million GBP.

ThinkMarkets Website and Information

The internet presence of ThinkMarkets suffers, in our opinion, a little under the optimization for mobile devices when you call it on a PC or Mac, because the overview is lost when scrolling. Nevertheless, the content of the website is very comprehensive and informative, and can be reached easily via the main menu at the top of the page. The instruments offered, including the specifications of the contracts, are very easy to find and are shown in form of tables. For information about events on the market are also market news on the side.

Think Markets offers on its website also has extensive learning materials, which are aimed at beginners and advanced traders. The materials include, in addition to a glossary, trading instructions, a video collection, and also weekly webinars in English language

In addition to 36 currency pairs, ThinkMarkets offers trading in CFDs on indices, energy and metals. Specifically, these are 8 major indices, including Dax and Dow Jones, WTI and Brent crude oil, as well as gold and silver pairings. CFDs on stocks are, so far, not traded at ThinkMarkets.

Think Markets trying to attract customers with its impressive performance and is more sparingly in the promotions. We see this as a rather positive sign of the seriosity of the broker. However, currently running a promotion at Think Markets, which is to promote the use of in-house trading platform Think traders and manual trading. As part of the "Expert Advisor (EA) Buyback Promotion" provides Think Markets new customers and customers who use the MetaTrader 4 platform so far, the purchase price for the EA used by them, up to a price of 250 USD(or EUR, CHF, GBP, AUD ) when they switch to the ThinkTrader platform. Customer Service at ThinkMarkets

With the customer service we had only a compulsory contact with the account opening. The employee proved to be friendly and competent and could answer all our questions without hesitation. The customer service is available through the live chat on the website, by telephone via a British and Australian telephone number as well as by e-mail.

ThinkMarkets Rating

ThinkMarkets convinces with good services and conditions, as well as fast order execution. The fact that the broker does not offer a lot of promotions or bonuses is, in our opinion, a positive one as the company has managed to establish itself in the online trading market, which makes him a good choice as partner for trading in the financial markets.
